Skipper Training

True Adventure!

Do you have a boat skipper license, want to sail independently, but lack experience and confidence?
Or do you dream of obtaining a boat skipper license and sailing independently as a skipper of a sailboat, yacht, or catamaran? Your wishes and dreams can become reality. The SailNomad team is here to make them come true.

Who is skipper training for?
Skipper training is suitable both for those who already have a boat skipper license but lack practical experience, and for those who have neither a license nor sailing experience. For those who already have a license and have only sailed as crew members, we organize training sessions that focus—along with other nautical skills—on safe departure and docking, as these are often the biggest challenges when operating a vessel independently. We will also prepare you for future independent boat rentals and teach you what to watch out for and what to be careful about.

We conduct skipper training on sailboats, catamarans, as well as motorboats and yachts. For those with no prior nautical experience or knowledge, we organize skipper training together with nautical education and the boat skipper license exam. Candidates take the exam at the Šibenik Harbor Master’s Office, every Tuesday. If you don’t have time, you can take only the boat skipper license exam and complete skipper training at a later date.
